Since opening its doors 6 years ago, RE:Worx has established itself as one of the UK's most popular and respected Rotary workshops, specialising in the modification, service and support of the FD3S Mazda RX7. Now catering for any vehicle (performance or otherwise) we are able to provide basic servicing and repairs to full engine rebuilds and performance tuning.
At the forefront of an emerging UK Rotary scene the company enjoyed considerable success at the Drag strip, including running the first 10-second pass by a UK Rotary car, followed by the first 9-second pass by a UK Rotary-powered car. The RE:Worx 'Stripey' FD3S Drag car became a regular Pro Pits qualifier at the hugely popular JapShow-series at Santa Pod, performing admirably against numerous BIG money opponents.
The development of the 'Stripey' drag car helped RE:Worx build some of the most powerful Rotary street cars seen in the UK. With fully equipped workshop facilities, including a state-of-the-art Dyno Dynamics chassis dynamometer, the company is more than adequately equipped to undertake all works on any performance vehicle which its quickly diversifying customer porfolio proves.
In late 2007 'Stripey' was retired from the strip, to be replaced by a new 3/4 chassis RX8. The RX8 debuted in mid-2008, and running a stock 20B motor immediately ran PB 60ft's, ETs and terminal speeds. Development of the RX8 will continue during 2009, starting with a new ported 20B powerplant which will hopefully see the car drop into the 8s on the quarter mile. Pictures of the RX8 build can be found HERE.
Always looking to push the performance envelope the company is continuosly testing new and innovative products, whilst forging new relationships with some of the industries most respected organisations. As well as acheiving dealer status for the likes of Greddy, TEIN, Defi, MoTeC and PWR, RE:Worx notably obtained HKS Pro Dealer status in Q4 of 2006, allowing access to HKS' heavily guarded flagship F-Con Pro ECUs and Powerwriter software.
RE:Worx prides itself in being a company run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. All of our employees are hardened 'petrol-heads' with years of high-performance car ownership between them - spending much of their free time preparing their own cars. Keep an eye out for us at UK trackdays and drag strips - and at the Nurburing during the warmer months!
